The Journal of Environmental Science and Management (JESAM) officially launched its new website during the 20^thanniversary of the School of Environmental Science and Management (SESAM) last December 4, 2017 at SESAM grounds.

The launching was the first activity of SESAM’s 20^th anniversary with the theme “environmental science as a system science: feasting on applications and solutions”. Dr. Felino P. Lansigan, Dean, College of Arts and Sciences and Editor-in-Chief, JESAM presented the updates about JESAM and its milestones through the years. “JESAM is SESAM’s pride…, we are proud to say that the journal has now the highest impact factor among UPLB journals with 0.323”, Dr. Lansigan said.

Dr. Lansigan also announced that JESAM will publish its 20^th anniversary special issue next year and will also hold the JESAM Editorial Board Lecture Series. Dr. David Mark Taylor, Professor of Tropical Environmental Change and Provost’s Chair Professor in the Department of Geography, National University of Singapore (NUS), will deliver the first lecture series on December 12, 2017 at SESAM.

Website launch. Dr. Decibel F. Eslava, Dean, SESAM led the launching of the new JESAM website, as Drs. Rico C. Ancog, Enrique P. Pacardo, Felino P. Lansigan, Leonardo M. Florece, Ma. Victoria O. Espaldon, and Chancellor Fernando C. Sanchez looks on.

Meanwhile, Dr. Rico C. Ancog, Managing Editor, JESAM demonstrated the new JESAM website, which features online submission of articles and input of peer reviews. “Beginning today, we will accept only electronic submissions of your articles, it is easy to use and you can track the status of your submission”, Dr. Ancog stressed. Aside from the online submission, all published articles from all issues can be downloaded for free. Visit the new JESAM website at http://jesam-uplb.org.

JESAM is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal produced semi-annually in print and online by SESAM-UPLB. It is abstracted and indexed by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters Web of Science), Elsevier Sciverse-Scopus, ASEAN Citation Index, Center for Agriculture and Biosciences International and Commission on Higher Education Journal Incentive Program (CHED-JIP).
