PM TMEM

PM-TMEM is an accelerated degree uniquely designed for professionals engaged in the management and governance of tropical marine ecosystems. Students get the distinctive benefit of a highly integrative and trans-disciplinary approach within and across the courses, with lectures and field components handled by various interdisciplinary teams of faculty, including local and international experts. This program follows a modular, sequential approach that can be completed in 1.5 years. It is explicitly designed for the application of the sciences in developing the professional skills and practical analyses of practitioners.

PM-TMEM is offered by the University of the Philippines (UP), through the unique collaboration of 3 campuses, combining the expertise and vast experience of well-established programs of the following academic institutions: (i) UP Diliman’s Marine Science Institute, College of Science (ii) UP Visayas’ Institute of Fisheries Policy and Development Studies, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, and (iii) the UP Los Baños Graduate School, School of Environmental Science and Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Aside from the UP general requirements for admission to graduate school, applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years work experience relevant to TMEM or Coastal Resource Management, and are current practitioners in these indicated fields. Foreign students should also have minimum English Proficiency Test scores of 550 for TOEFL PBT, 79 for TOEFL iBT, and 6.5 for IELTS.
